Question about Oki Electric Industry MC860 Mfp 3 Tray 120V (efps) (62431405)
Normally, this occurs on the document feeder since the pages pass by a relatively small area of glass. They can leave behind debris which is visible to the scan head. This doesn't often happen on the flatbed part, since opening and closing the lid tends to blow off the debris that has accumulated.
Since the line occurs on both the ADF and the flatbed, there is debris on the scan head itself (the part that moves back and forth). If you are able to access the head, then you can blow it off with canned air. Otherwise, a technician will need to come and disassemble far enough to blow the head off.
