I want to install my hpf2480 printer to my computer, but it says it can't install because the problem is the operating system of my computer.

Try installing the printer driver that corresponds with your operating system.You can download the driver here but make sure you specify your operating system type[windows 7].

What is the operating system installed on your computer?
Note: The Lexmark Z645 printer only works on Windows operating system. Unfortunately there are no Lexmark Z645 printer drivers available for Macintosh operating system.

You can still download and install the software/driver from here [click here], you'll need to select the operating system, eg. windows xp or windows 7 etc.. Once the page is opened, click the "select..." just below the "Select your operating system, then click 'Next':" and select the operating system, then click "Next" button. All the available softwares/drivers for the selected operating system will be shown on the next page, check the description of the available applications and click the link to download. Follow the onscreen instructions to proceed with the download steps.

First find the installation disk that came with your printer in the box. Install the software by placing the disk in your CDROM of your computer and then follow the instructions on the screen. when the software has finished installing, connect your printer to the computer with your USB cord and the computer will automatically do the rest.

Some operating systems already have the driver for your printer and the software is not necessary. To check and see if your computers operating system already has the necessary drivers, just connect your printer via your usb cord. Your computer will recognize the printer once the cord is connected and you will see a pop up message around the right hand corner of the monitor screen that says "new equipment detected" and the computer will do the rest.

Right click on the Printer icon and Click on Troubleshoot
Follow the instructions and finish the Troubleshooter Wizard

you need to know what operating system is installed on your computer. once you know it, go to epson's website and download the drivers for CX4700 for that specific operating system. afterwards, install it on your computer. once installed, it's time to connect that printer to your computer and it should be detected.

In this case, there's no mystery as to the cause of the problem. You will be unable to use this printer with your operating system because there are no existing print drivers that work with 64 bit Vista. Your printer will work with Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows XP, but not with Vista at all.

You have only two options...use a different HP printer that will work with Vista, or get a PC that has one of the supported operating systems on it and connect your current printer to that PC.

Sorry. I know this isn't the answer you were looking for, but that's the best I can do until the proper drivers become available.
