Question about Whirlpool LER4634J Electric Dryer
Hello, welcome to FixYa.
Based on your description ( "the second load it hums when I press the button but it wont start or anything" ) it certainly sounds like a faulty motor.
Try running the unit empty and see if you experience the same symptom after a 60min timed dry cycle.
If it hums when pushing the start button this indicates the motor is receiving the "start command" but cannot, likely due to overheating from poor ventilation and even if the vent is corrected it`s likely irreversibly damaged.
The motor part # is 279827 and will look like this...
This can also be caused by a large amount of lint built up around the motor which prevents it from cooling proper.
Here`s a helpful link for Whirlpool dryer repairs which may help in the "how to" department so you can go in yourself and try cleaning it and what to look for etc.
Let me know how you make out or if you require further assistance.
