Usually in moble homes the air flow has terrable air restiction in most cases this is compansated with higher volumes of air flow (your gong to have to increase the blower fan speed to compensate. hope this helps

Why will my Dometic air conditioner only cool to 15 degrees below ambient temperature?

A few things can determine that , or cause it. First of all, where are you checking the ambient air temperature and what type of system do you have, is it ducted, blows out of ceiling assy? Has unit been properly cleaned lately? If ducted, have you checked for cool air leaking by to return air box?

Own 2005 27.5' Wildwood Trailer with a Dometic a/c ducted unit. Last few times out it freezes up initially first few times (pocked circuit breaker once then I turned it off after few minutes second time)....

Don't block off any ceiling ducts and see what happens. If you've closed off any forced air ducts, the unit will freeze up, if too many are closed off. Also, if you shut unit off (compressor) give it 5 or 10 minutes before you turn it back on.

TRYING TO FIND THE RIGHT DUCTED AIRCONDITIONER COLMAN. FOR 1995 TRAILER

The upper unit doesn't matter ( the actual ac unit on roof ) it's the lower control unit (inside at ceiling) that you need to change to use either ducted or non-ducted system. Any RV dealer can supply that, probably have it on the shelf. Just make sure you write down the model number and serial number, off the bottom of the upper unit, so they can match lower unit to it, for ducted system.

What is the difference between ducted roof air and non ducted.

Non-ducted units blow the cooled air out louvers on the unit. Ducted units discharge into a duct system like your home furnace. (Or RV Furnace (heater)).

I have a Dometic rooftop air conditioner 8000 model. When on heat in cold climate I found the a/c unit did not heat our caravan sufficiently.

the reason for this is either the reverser valve or air restriction first clean the a/c by removeing the cover on the roof and the inside clean the cooling fins then remove the sheet metal or plastic cover over the intake fan & clean the shroud then clean the filters inside the van reassemble every thing then turn the unit on & from inside check the side were the wires are to feel for air by turning the unit on cool there should be a big diffrance between the intake from the out put use duct tape to seal off the sides also clean the duct work with air to remove blockage in the duct

I have a dometic duo-therm. No air coming through ducts.

Sounds like the ducting have come apart in some areas or blocked in some way. Take the supply grills off and with a shop vacuum try and reach as far as you can.
