I suggest taking the filters all out and inspecting them. Something is restricting the flow and it sounds like there is an air lock. Also at times carbon fines will plug up the head of the filtration system. So take it all apart, inspect it and see if the head needs cleaning. Put new filters in when done and run the water at faucet until all air is purged and fines flushed out.

Can anyone tell me why my ISE GN1100 Hot tap is spitting when the handle is pulled back to release the water?

Usually happens when the temperature is set too high, check your instruction book and set it to the advised temp. Also the filter in the nozzle may need a clean.

Ge smartwater wholehouse waterfilter main housing failed flooded house

Why did it fail? How did it fail? Was it the plumbing that failed? Replace it with a Pentair filter housing, 10" housing, 20" housing or Big Blue housing and make sure it is plumbed in properly. It is very unusual for a filter housing to fail unless it freezes up.

Canisters on my ge smart water filtration system gxsv10c model are stuck tight. How do i get them open

Make sure the water is turned off to system. Open the faucet to system to drain any water and keep the faucet turned on to keep pressure off filter housings.
1.Use the wrench to take housings off.
2. If they still won't budge take a small 2x4 block of wood and hammer, set the block of wood on the RIB for the housing and tap with hammer.
3. Change the o-rings in both housings, lubricate with silicone lube and lubricate the threads on housings with silicone also.
3. Rinse housings with small amount of bleach and clean thoroughly.
4. Replace filters and housings.
5. IMPORTANT: Only tighten housings by hand. NEVER tighten housings with wrench.

Low pressure at hot water tap

Most tankless heaters will normally restrict the hot water output in order to maintain a stable outlet temperature; however, this should only be noticed if you have several hot water fixtures open. If you are only seeing the problem when running a single fixture, then the problem is probably one of these items:

1) clogged aerator on your fixture - easily fixed by removing and cleaning the aerator with a pair of vice grips

2) clogged inlet filter for your tankless - the inlet filter is located on the incoming cold water connection. It has a black cylindrical cap. To remove it, make sure to first turn off your water to the heater and then unscrew the cap to remove the filter. Instructions can also be found in your owner's guide.

GE smartwater filter (model GXRLQR) stopped working...help!

These replacement filters (GXRLQR) are FLAWED straight out of the factory. The problem is in the 2 little "teeth" nubs that stick up near the center circle of the filter. When the filter is twisted and inserted, these teeth push up on a tiny black spring loaded valve in the body of the filter, alowing water to pass through up and out the spigot. The flaw is that the "nubs" are too short and do not push open the spring valve far enough, reducing flow to a semi-trickle, even with a brand new filter. GE seems to think this is not a problem.

Solution=stick a $0.25 garden hose rubber washer in the top of the filter and screw it in. You may have to try a few times to get it to work and seat properly. When it works, you'll immediately get a nice super flow of water. Better than upgrading to a $200 filter system recommended by GE...

Filter Removal: Clockwise or Counterclockwise?

Insure that the pressure is off and has been released pushing the relief button several times will do that as long as the filter has been issolated. Push the bowel up and counterclockwise will release it. No big guns required
