Question about Dometic Rooftop RV Air Conditioner

My rv air conditioner goes on only about a minute then pops the fuse, why might this be? and hoiw do i fix it?

This might be the relay cutting out. Try feeling of the compressor after it cuts off.If its getting too hot to hold your hand on then you either need a relay(Hard start recommended- Ask your parts dealer.) or the compressor is shorting.

Hi,
Those squirrel cage fans have a habit of coming apart, or getting dirt in them and going out of balance...then they wobble and hit the sides of the fan housing...
Make sure the fan is clean and also move it around a bit to make sure it is not coming apart....
Often the only way to fix them is too replace the sqirrel cage part...

After the air is on for about two minutes the circuit breaker pops off.


Hi,
The compressor is not always starting...sometimes it tries but does not start...
It could be a capacitor and relay problem... or the compressor could be going bad...
Change the capacitor and start relay first and then see if that gets it going...

Model coleman mach 8333c8714 serie 8000 my a/c start for 2-3 minutes and than the a/c shut down but the fan still working!! after a few minutes , it want to start again but dont seem to be able to. you can...

Air conditioner short cycling


Sounds like the thermostat probe is behind the filter,next to the coil,and not sensing good return air . just punch a hole through the filter so the bulb can sense return air! thank you-very-much!
