Hi Daniel! I gave the wrong model # to you. It's a 8920. The right spray nozzle sprays continuously. Is it possible that it is stuck open and can it be repaired?

    Thanks,

    Jim

Thanks for the help! I took it apart and cleaned the system and it's working great!

Hi

Check seals on Clear Water Tank and Solution Tank. If necessary, re-seat or replace seals. Check valve action on Clear Water Tank and Solution Tank by depressing them with your finger. The valve should move up and down. Check valve action on Clear Water Tank and Solution Tank by depressing them with your finger. The valve should move up and down. Replace if necessary. Next you’ll need to check the pump system.
Pull trigger to check spray -- making sure upper handle is firmly positioned onto the lower handle. Water should flow through tubing from the tank to the pump and the red float inside the pump should move up. If it doesn't, replace the pump. Check the tubes for air bubbles as the unit is spraying -- bubbles indicate an air leak that prevents pump from priming.
Hope this helps... If it does please do not forget to accept the solution or post back for assistance.

    Hi

It is possible that it may be stuck or the button may be faulty. It may also have happened due to a faulty flow system. Please follow these steps to troubleshoot the spray system---

    1. Remove SmartMix piston from the main housing and place SmartMix body (located

beneath the knob on the main housing, inside of the unit) so that it is 1/16" from

    completely inserted.

    2. Replace tanks in unit.

    3. Plug unit in and turn it on.

    4. Pull trigger to check spray -- making sure upper handle is firmly positioned onto the

lower handle. Water should flow through tubing from the tank to the pump and the red

float inside the pump should move up. If it doesn't, replace the pump.

    5. Check the tubes for air bubbles as the unit is spraying -- bubbles indicate an air leak that

    prevents pump from priming.

    6. Locate the source of any air leaks and correct them, looking first at the auto load receiver

(under the tank) and the SmartMix assembly.

Hope this helps... If it does please do not forget to accept the solution or post back for assistance.

    Daniel

The wire connecting the button may have come stuck, You can try replacing the button and wire connected to it, Before you try anything else
IF that fails you can then contact BISSELL Consumer Services at 1-800-237-7691, Who may replace if become defective and under warranty.

I can't get the brushes to rotate and the water to spray on the bissel pro heat 2x.

I have a Proheat 2X and had the same problem. I tried the Water Rinse setting and found water came out and was suctioned properly, but on the Light Clean, Normal Clean, and Heavy Traffic settings, the unit failed to do anything. Problem may be with leaving the soap dispenser in-place, which might scum up the tubing.

SO, an alternative to throwing out my unit and buying somethign else was to put one capful of the Bissell soap in the water resevoir and keep the unit on Water Rinse. IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY NOW. Don't know if this will help, but at least I didn't have to buy a new unit. Rinse everything after using and there's been no problem.

Won't spray

I have the red Bissell Proheat CleanShot 2x 9500 and it would not spray water or solution from either the floor or the hand tool. I followed a tip on here and checked the red gaskets. There is one on the bottom of the water tank and one on the solution tank. My red gasket had come off the solution tank and was lodged inside where the solution tank sits. I pulled it out and reattached it to the solution tank. Now everything is working perfectly again. I hope someone else will be as lucky as me!
