Just varies really

either way they both get the job done

the draw back to the sheets is they can get stuck on the vents and cause heating or exhaust issues

liquid if not diluted or residue from liquid can cause oil spots

The auto dry sensor cycle shuts down before clothes are totally dry -paul

Hello Paul,

The problem with your dryer very likely is that the sensor bar is dirty and needs to be cleaned...especially if your using fabric softner sheets they leave a coating on the sensor bar and it cant properly read that the clothes arent yet dry.
Its very easy to clean the sensor bar, just need to use some rubbing alcohol and the green scrubby side of a kitchen sponge and clean the sensor bar, then rinse with plain water.

My dryer is running, but not producing heat.

IT COULD BE 1 OF 3 THINGS RIGHT OFF, 1) THE HEATING ELEMENT IS BAD, 2) the fuseable link is bad. 3) there may be a cracked porcilan insalater, whitch in turn can result in the first two problems, i would say the 1st is your problem, also not cleaning the dryer filter after each load and washing it regulary wil cause exsesive heat build up and cause a fire potential, also try not to use dryer sheets this causes wax buildup on the filters. the best way is to use a liquid fabric softner in the wash. and check the dryer exhaust hose and the exhaust hose outlet outside for any kind of blockage i.e. lint,or somthing setting in front of it ,good luck,

Hello Confused :)

the most probable trouble your having is that the moisture sensor bar is built up with oil from fabric softner sheeets(do you use softner sheets ?) so its misreading the clothes as being dry
to clean it use a dobie pad or the green srubby side of a kitchen sponge using rubbing alcohol
its in the front panel to find it it's 2 chrome/stainless steel metal strips embedded into a black plastic base.
If you clean it and problem reoccurs the electronic control/timer that the moisture sensor sends it's reading to is defective

Is it ok to use fabric softener sheets with the

Use the liquid. The sheets will clog up any exhaust pipe or other parts in the dryer. If you live where you vent through the roof, definitely don't use the fabric sheets.
