Just varies really

either way they both get the job done

the draw back to the sheets is they can get stuck on the vents and cause heating or exhaust issues

liquid if not diluted or residue from liquid can cause oil spots

No truth to powder being better .fabric softeners on the towels is fine it does help keep them soft they just don't absorb moisture as well.. I belive you biggest issue is over drying the towels, use a lower temp setting on dryer and do Not trust auto dry settings for towels, expermint with timed settings, if towels are not dry you can always add a few more minutes, but over temp and over dry will stiffen and age them prematurely

Oil on clothes front loading kenmore washing machine 7 years old

Oil cannot get on clothes from a front loader . It's probably the liquid fabric softener you are using . Either try a different brand , use dryer sheets instead , or make sure the water temperature is correct for the softner . Also check the front drum seal , for built up , undisolved softner , collecting " gunk " which may be getting on the clothes .

Do you use a liquid fabric softner also ? Marks are usually left on clothes from undisolved fabric softner . Try using dryer sheets instead of washer softner .

Is it ok to use fabric softener sheets with the

Use the liquid. The sheets will clog up any exhaust pipe or other parts in the dryer. If you live where you vent through the roof, definitely don't use the fabric sheets.

You need to put the setting on whites in order for it to take the bleach. Not sure about the fabric softener. I use dryer sheets
