Question about Yamaha HTR-5540 Receiver
Modern equipment has speaker select switches usually marked a and b , you could try the headphone o/p to see if they work.
First check all your connections to make sure all is ok.
Make sure you have an input selected that you have tested to ensure it is working then use that input to try the phones and then if that works try the speakers.
Always try out non working equipment at LOW level this will protect your equipment AND your hearing.
Hope this helps
Thanks for using FixYa
