may i know the frimware of your psp console

What i have heard is that games are not region restricted. However videos are. You can play any game you want, but movies that are not from your region may not play.
There are some PSPs that have no region restriction that can play anything and everything, but that isn't what you have.

im guessing the game is broke your umd reader is broke or a cord maybe unplauuged inside ur psp

try different games or playing the game with the PSP in diferent positions, ex upside down, sideways...
and let me know if it works. If it does something is lose inside, if it does not the laser reader or LCD casing must be replaced.

fistly if your thinking of getting it fixed you'd be right
if you still have warranty on your PSP you can get it fixed for free
just find the booklet that came with you PSP and in the back there should be a number

ring them up and they will sort everything out for you

try to use or play other compatible discs,and if you encounter the same issues,most likely there's something wrong with your psp hardware and you need to bring it in to be diagnosed and repaired if warranted.or use the disc game in question and play it in another working psp,if it shows the same symptoms,then it's defective,otherwise,your psp console needs to be checked.

Well, mario, if you got the psp for christmas, just send it back in to sony and use your warranty, they'll give you a new psp.

Buy a UMD disk cleaner this may help

failing that make sure system plays other discs or that the disc you are trying to play, plays in another PSP.

If it plays other discs fine its not the PSP its the disc.

If it doesn't then its the PSP that will need to be sent away for repair.

Try a different disk? I've found that sometimes when you turn on the psp and you're in the game menu of the PSP menu, the UMD won't be there, but if you go over to music or something, and go back to game, it will have returned.
