Mac Mini and Denon 3801

I have a Mac Mini with a DVI-HDMI connection to my television for video. For audio, I have an optical mini-plug cable from the audio output on the Mac mini to the optical 2 port on the Denon 3801. Video is fine but audio doesn't work. Does anyone know the specific settings on the receiver needed to make this work? Thaks!
