I have the same problem and am in the middle of diagnosing & repairing. There is a temperature sensor / thermal overload protector (circuit breaker) in the machine that protects from overheating. Remove the four plastic plugs, then the four screws at the top /front. Remove two scres at the rear and the top comes off. Remove 20+ off the back. Take the back off and at the bottom of the machine is a little black electrical component with a red reset button. Reset the button and you should be back in business. BUT... why is it overheating in the first place. Check your entire exhaust system. It is verly likely that the flex hose and ducting (PVC is a poor choice - several reasons) is clogged - at least partially. Thouroughly clean or replace it. Reset and reassemble. Unfortunately, there is apparently more to my problem. My next step is to replace the temperature limiter and see if that does it. It heats when I re-set it, but soon stops heating again - requiring another reset. I hope this helps someone!

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail (meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip out or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehave programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcode showing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also be the fault.

Bosch condensation dryer when on heated dry clothes come out steaming hot not dry

Sounds like something's blocking the hot damp air being removed from the drier. If you are confident enough, go through the drier vent system looking for a blockage. If not get a good DIY neighbour or appliance engineer. Silly question, is the drum turning?

Dryer runs but no heat this is a gas dryer

Hi there,

Well if your dryer tumbles, but there is no heat then you may please check out the following -
1. First of all you can check out for proper air flow - Check the vent for proper air flow by placing your hand over the exterior vent while the dryer is running. You should feel a strong flow of air. If not then check the lint trap. It is located either on top of the dryer or possibly just inside the door. Remove any lint that has built up in the lint trap. Cleaning the lint trap should be done regularly, even as often as after every load. Do not operate the dryer without a lint trap in place.

2. Secondly you can check out the Ignitor - gas dryer blows air through a burner assembly to heat the air. The burner assembly consists essentially of a gas valve, ignitor and a flame sensor. If any part of the burner assembly malfunctions, the result will be low or no heat and slow drying of the clothes. Post comments for further help or information.....

Good Luck!!
