You've either got debris (lint, thread, a pin) jamming your machine, it's threaded incorrectly or you seriously need to oil it (or all of the above). I do a lot of sewing and oil my machine a minimum of once a week. It's also helpful to regularly clean out lint build-up. It can reak havoc on the internal mechanisms and cause jamming.

Most tool places have these. Not the big box stores but someone like Grainger, Viking electric, Mack tools...someone along that line.

I started sewing and my machine just went black and stopped. It won't come back on. There is no sound, no lights, nothing. What can I do?

it's possible that either the computer motherboard went out on it.
since it's a janome computerized sewing machine I would suggest
having it serviced to see what's wrong.
