Question about Acer Aspire 5100-5022 Notebook
Have you checked in the device manager to see if the correct driver is installed?
In Windows Vista, right click on "Computer" in the Start Menu and drop down to properties. On the left hand side, there will be a link named "Device Manager". If the driver is uninstalled or there is a conflict, it will show a yellow exclamation mark next to the item.
In XP, right click on "Computer" in the Start Menu, click the "Hardware" tab, and click on Device Manager. As stated before, if there is a conflict it will show a yellow exclamation mark.
