Remove the back from your dryer and locate your thermal fuse (a football shaped white thing) mounted to the blower housing (below the lint screen and to the left of where your vent connects).
With the dryer un-plugged disconnect the wires to this device and connect the ends of the two wires together and make sure they are not touching any thing metal, plug the dryer in and try it again.
Chances are this is your culprit. Part number is 3390719
DO NOT leave it by-passed as it is a safety feature.
DO check your vent for restrictions that may have caused this to blow.
DO Let me know if this does not solve the issue or you have any other questions!

washer stopped working, displayed E5E error when prompted for code. I opened up the back of the machine and noticed that a connector was not connected to the control board, i removed the control board to get a better view of where it belonged, and slid the connector over the control board, closed up the machine and it's back in business.

I got an error code e5e from frigidaire front loader

Hello barnessursula - Typically error code E5E indicates that there is a communication problem. Base on the intensity of the issue, I suggest contacting a professional technician to accurately repair the unit. Technician will need to check the wiring between the main control board and the speed control board. Depending on the diagnoses and if the wiring is bad, it has to be corrected. However, if the wiring is good the main control board will need to be replace or if the problem is not corrected, the speed control board will need replacing.

The display is reading dL after dialing the wash type and and start button. The lid lock clicks and I can hear the timer ticking. The lid was forced open when the beeping wouldn't stop be my son.

Hi,

Your problem sounds like the same problem that exists on the whirlpool front load machine. The main circuit board thinks there's something wrong with the door lock so you get the dL code. The problem is there are cold solder joints on the circuit board that interrupt the information going back to the control board. If possible you may want to remove that circuit board and either you or a good appliance repair shop could touch up the heavy solder points for the relays and spade connectors. Good luck.

THE TRAY WILL NOT COME OUT, ALTHOUGH I CAN HEAR IT TRYING. CLEARLY HARDWARE, BUT WITH IT APART, IT STAYS MOVING ONLY AN INCH & I SEE NOTHING TO STOP IT.

You can remove the top and then the front. Now the mechinism is now fully exposed. Check the loading belt. It may be too loose.

Your belt is likely broken. Pop the top (held down by spring clips) to inspect. If you see it - try to lift it. If you can not lift it it is ok. If not ok, remove the front cover for complete access to the drive.

My dishwasher (same make and model) had a similar problem except I did see some sparks coming out from th front on the side of it (on Thanksgiving Day no less - a lot of manual diswahing followed). What the problem ultimatly was is what I believe to be a factory defect. On the front door if you remove the inside panel to expose the wiring, I found where the door closes, the ruber coating on the bottom metal edge was worn away (from just years of opening and closing the door. There is a bunch of wires that run from the control panel to the power source and pump. Once the metal was exposed it comes in contact with these wires when the door is opened and closed and it was just a matter of time before they got shorted out. Fortunatly for me this happened while I was standing right there and was able to turn it off or this may have resulted in a fire. Also because of the quick shut off, none of the electronics or motors seemed to be affected. After respliceing the wires that were exposed, the dishwasher is working as normal. I plan to go back to Maytag to see if there is any complaints regarding this same issue.

your main control board and the actual lock,
open the three screws on the top of the control board..
you will see the machine control
without disconnnecting the wires , inspect the board as closely as uou can your looking for physical burn on the board,,,, this usually takes place on the lower left area of the board
there you will see a burnt resistor, r-11
you will need to replace that control http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=46137&diagram_id=692382#d692382

GE WBVH6240FWW control dial broken-how to remove?

The control knob simply pulls off. I just looked at the other side of one..The knob connects to the main control board. To gain access you must remove the top of the washer. There will be screws at the rear of the machine to remove the top. Once removed, the control panel will be exposed for easy removal. Good Luck, Eric
