Question about Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS / 1000D IS Digital Camera
Thank you for your sunshine. This is not the kind of query with which Fixya can really assist you, I'm afraid - have you thought of consulting the many on-line forums which exist to offer advice on exposure and software. Good luck.

The Penta K110D has a 1.5X crop factor so a 17mm lense would be the equivalent to 25.5mm (in 35mm standard), therefore may not give you a 103 angle view. You would not really notice that much difference between 17 and 18mm.

Mac, you will depending on the type of wildlife you are wanting to photograph you will probably need something marked with at least 300mm on it. Nikon have lenses in this range at different price levels. I suggest that you maybe look at the 75 - 300mm, from memory it has VR on it... important for use at the 300 mm setting to help reduce camera shake. Cheers Ian
