Captfred, When you had the bottom off, did you drop the larg sping out? It's placed between the base and the hand controler, thats what gives the tension to it, unless your talking about your rudder control(twist left/right). jls

Why are front three selections vending two cans?

There is an adjustment for the length of the cans. The columns that are not working properly have too much slack. Open it up and look behind the cans. There is a metal plate with spring loaded clips, top and bottom. Squeeze them together and move the plate forward to take out the slack. Do it top and bottom. When properly adjusted the cans will move a little (1/4 to 1/2 inch).

Process for changing 2001 Chevrolet Suburban surpentine belt

See diagram posted on radiator housing or download picture from internet site.

Use wrench, or hand, to pull/push slack adjuster away from old belt.
Place new belt around all pulleys except the slack adjuster
Pull slack adjuster to slack position and place belt onto it.

Mine is so easy to move that I can move it w/o any tools just with my hand.

The 5 cap screws that hold the bezel ring over the throttle slide: do they actually thread into something?

These cap screws thread into the basket inside the hull of the WingMan. This basket holds the mechanical parts and the potentiometers. If you wish to take a look on the interior of the hull (or case), it's better to open below; the bottom plate is secured by 5 Phillips screws located in the middle of the cushioning rings - except one of them, located nearby. Be careful.

How do i get the old transmission out of my car and put the new one in.iv taken all the bolts off but it seems 2 b stuck what do i do

do you have the bolts out that connect the flex plate to the tirque converter? There is usually a bolt that goes through from the engine side between the trans and the engine(firewall side) that gets missed.

Drive chain slack?

Typical chain slack should be about two inches from bottom edge of the chain to the top. Grabbing the chain in the middle (halfway from sprocket to sprocket) and moving it up and down. After adjusting , you should raise the rear wheel off the ground and spin the back wheel checking every 6 inches or so that the slack does not get tighter or looser. If the chain gets tighter as it goes around the sprocket it is an indication that the chain is stretched at that point and needs to be replaced.

How do i time the harmonic balencer on a 1992 suzuki dr650

The balancer chains has a series of marks and a chromed pin plate. Align shiny plate pin (#1) with notch on crankshaft sprocket. Align pin #26 with letter R on rear balancer and pin #50 should line up with letter F on front balacer. All slack is taken up by tensioner at the bottom. Cheers.

PSP joystick problem.

These are some of the steps you can do

1. Use the screwdriver to detach the face plate from the bottom of your PSP. You'll need to remove the battery pack. There are additional screws underneath the battery pack that need to come out to take off the face plate.
2. Look on the bottom side of your face plate. You will find four small bronze-colored rectangles lined up together. Take your damp cloth and wipe over this section. Wait 30 seconds, then wipe it off with a dry cloth. It is important that your cloth is just damp and no water is leaking from it.
3. Remove the plastic piece that covers the small bronze squares on the right side of the analog stick. Clean these with a damp cloth.
4. Put your PSP back together the same way you took it apart. Don't forget to screw the battery pack screws into place, or you will experience other problems down the road.

Locked up emergency brake

there is a oval plug on the top or bottom of the backing plate, this is access to the adjuster. it may take two screwdrivers to back off the starwheel inside, one for the wheel and one to hold the auto adjuster lever out of the way. They make a brake adjuster tool too, it looks like a two headed bent screwdriver, would make it easier but you can probably do it without

I have a juki mo-3614 serger and I can't seem to get the blades lined up right for cutting. It just seems to want to roll the fabric instead of cut it. How do I line up the blades the right way.

first, pull out the bvlades and make surte they are sharp. It could simply be that they are dull. Next, line tyhe bottom blade up level to the surface of the needle plate. The top blade should be adjusted to where it slices against the botom blade. You may have to experiment with the height adjustment on the top blade, assuming you have a suitable cutting edge.
