This PC should take DDR SDRAM
It is quoted as being a socket 478 motherboard and should be compatible with a faster pentium 4 processor unfortunately the new dual core and quad core processors use a socket 778.
Hope that helps

I have a Maxtor 20GB Hard Disk which when connected to a computer the BIOS is able to read it but the problem is the HD only shows ZERO GB(its empty). Can this problem be fixed in order to make it show 20GB...

Computer sees the drive. That is important. I'm assuming this uses a standard IDE cable and the drive isn't physically damaged. Make sure it is the only drive connected and it is the Master. Try flipping the cable if you have checked that the connection has a snug fit. Put the connector that you had the hard drive originally on and place it on the motherboard and the connection that the motherboard had insert it in the hard drive.Or better yet try a new cable. IDE cables have a tendency to fail. You could also try some recovery software. Maxtor is now part of Seagate so you can try here:

If you absolutely have to get data off this drive and you are desperate, then you could try the freezer trick. Put a dry towel and hard drive in the freezer for an hour or 2. Take the hard drive out and wrap it with the cold dry towel. That is to try and minimize any condensation build up. Plug in the hard drive and see if it works. This could potentially kill the hard drive but I have recovered data using this method before. If this works for you do not depend on this drive anymore. Good luck.

I replaced the Power Supply on an emachine T1100 and labeled the connections for P1, P4 and P6 so I could put them back. The fan came on, but the computer didn't start up. I can't find a place for the...

Forgive me if my first (educated) guess may be off, but the 4-pin connector for which your can't find a connection may go to your
system disk hard drive - all Emachine towers have a HDD (hard disk drive) bootable system disk - and it needs power to allow your T1100 to boot.
The system disk (your only bootable hard drive) is hidden (a little) in a metal enclosure in the front of the tower. The T1100 has a 20GB HDD, and in the "My Computer" display, it appear as "Drive C:", and is powered by a standard 4-pin power connector.

Freecom 400GB Hard drive not recognized.its a Freecom mobile drive xxs 400gb , my pc just cant recgnize the hard drive

I'll assume your using Windows.
I'll assume it's a USB drive.
I'll assume it is an external drive.
And I'll assume it's formatted as NTFS.

Try using the USB (or FireWire) port for anouther drive to see if that is the problem, if it is then reinstall the driver for the port, through the Computer Managment Concole (assuming yur using windows).

If you formatted the drive as FAT, re-format it as NTFS.

Verifying DMI Pool Data...

It's possible you have a weak power supply not allowing it to boot. You would need a power supply tester to test this or try a known good power supply.
You could also try disconnecting all devices that consume power. I had a system where I new all the devices were fine but it would not boot until I disconnected a drive or two.
Since you reset the Bios I had one time where a system would not boot because the hard drive sata position was disabled in the bios. Hope this helps.

hi there,
sounds like you have a hardware problem...you should look into trying this drive on another system to see if the same thing is happening without the drive software ...and if it works try to recover all your data from this drive as soon as possible...hardware problems are most time intermittent ... so they work now then say after a while they stop...

Freecom hard drive problem?

Unless you "GHOST" or "CLONE" the programsd over to the harddrive, instead of just copy and paste, they will not open. What you will have to do mo0re than likely is remove the installation files through control panel and reinstall the program onto the external harddrive.

Freecom 250 Gb Hard Drive

Hi des,
you need to install windows XP, on a different hard-drive.
even if it,s only 10 gig plus.
You can then access the drive.
Your problem is here, is that you,ve upgraded from XP to Vista, theres a possibility, that you may have lost or even formatted your freecom hard-drive.
No-Support-Device detected, is saying that your USB devices are not functioning correctly.
Check in the bios that the USB devices are enabled, to operate your hard-drive. ( this is assuming it,s a USB drive )

Hope this helps you out.
