Gary's solution worked perfectly for me. Bought the capacitors online, a repair shop installed them for me and the unit is as good as new.

Saved a WHOLE lot of money - Thanks Gary!!!

The output amplifiers are TDA8920BTH (datasheet at alldatasheet.com) and there is a 47uf 63v capacitor between pins 14 + 23 and 17 + 20 (the VDDp and VSSp pins) due to its close proximity to the heatsink it dries out over time and causes the the continual clicking from one or both channels, replace it with a new one (I used a low Z 105 degC type 47EXR63) and the continual clicking goes away.

Mitsubishi cs-26201 with "speaker off" - how to turn back on?

After a pulled plug got me Speaker off I was frustrated for weeks and found no solution online until I looked at a site offering original remotes and realizes I was using a VCR's remote for the TV. The Manual was long ago destroyed and is not available online that I can find, but I dug around for the oriignal remote and clicking the Audio button repeatedly brought up the Speaker: Off option and then it was just a press of Adjust to turn it back to On - problem solved.

I don't know if there is a way to do it without the remote, but the only controls on the TV are those on the front and in addition to steps people online suggested I think I must have tried every combination possible of pressing those in sequence or together as well as everything I could think of on the other Mitsubishi remote and the Universal remote I had been using.

Neither my Harmon remote or my Logitech universal

Use the help function on your Logitech remote.
Need more information on specific problem to go much further.
Check for tight speaker connections on back of receiver.
Some units have fault sensing; causing 'drop out' preventing A/V receiver from turning out. Typically this is characterised by a clicking sound after receiving an IR signal.
Using high volume levels can affect speaker connections, especially at the back of the A/V unit connectors and banana speaker wire connections.

Does it make any strange noise with no RCA cables plugged into it?

If not, you need to check the shield grounds on your head unit.
