You should reset your password, just to make sure that it is indeed correct. You can visit the Yahoo! mail login in screen and click the "I can't access my account" link as shown below. Once you reset your password you will know for sure it is correct.
if you are already registered in yahoo mail service then just download yahoo messenger from
http://messenger.yahoo.com/download/ and sign in with your mail id and pass ...or first open mail with yahoo
you cant change your yahoo mail adress from your yahoo acount .. if you want a new mail just create a new acount or use another mail service such as google AOL etc
this is not a computer problem however, when you don't use you yahoo acount for several mouths, yahoo will make your account inactive if you go to yahoo member services you can restore your account, that of course assumeing taht no one has stolen your account
