Generic problem for all Floppy Drives

ALl of a sudden, when I plug my thumd drive into a computer, it says that it needs to be formatted. When I click to format it, it takes forever and says that windows cannot format it. HELP!!!

Mastertry the other way around.use the cmd on start menu
and use the format command.if same error message appears then something is wrong with your thumb drive
