Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

My dyer heats and tumbles, but doesn't dry

I'd check first for clogged vent hose or clogged lint filter or clogged vent flap on wall (outside).

If that's not a problem, it may be a faulty thermostat. Heating element is probably okay if it heats some of the time.

More info, let me know.

My dyer is not heating all of the time no matter what setting I use. I had 2 rollers replaced because they appeared to be rubbinbg and making a noise. The dryer is still not heating and drying the clothes

try flipping you breaker off and on 2 or 3 times (hard and fast) if this don't work check element, timer , thermostats and safety switch on motor (check wiring diagram for pin numbers of safety switch)....if this switch goes bad the motor will still run but it wont let power go to element

My dryer wont tumble

Your belt is not installed correctly. The weight of the clothes is making it slip.

DBXR463ED1WW GE Dryer Runs for Hours

on which setting are you running it. If you are running this on the timed setting then its obviously a faulty timer. Sounds to me though that you are running it on its automatic cycle. If this is the case it could be a couple of things. Somewhere on ur beast there is a moisture sensor, this is what advances the timer and tells it to stop. This may be faulty or it could be that ur vents are indeed clogged which would trap the moisture in and result in the long dry times. The simplest way to go about this one would be to clear the air flow and see if the problem persists.( this means pulling out the dryer clearing all the vents, if using the flexible ones make sure they are not binding up while setting dyer in place. Also if there is a vent that runs through the wall as well you can clear this by removing exterior vent). good luck

LGE59777S Not drying

There is a little sensor that tells the dryer when to heat and when not to heat. that sensor is bad. If you take the back of the dryer off you will see it. It is about the size of a half dollar and has 2 wires that plug into it. While you have it apart make sure that the dryer vent on the back of the dryer is not plugged with lint. Major cause for fires in dryers.
