When i press the power button it comes on but there is no display on screen

Try this, in your manual at the bottom of pg. 229 that says, "If you turn off the power while the 'shooting settings display' screen is displayed, the same screen will be displayed when you turn on the power again. To avoid this, press the <INFO> button to turn off the display on the LCD monitor, then turn off the power switch."
The converse also applies. Get into the shooting settings display with the INFO button and power down. The display will come on when you power up again.
It also solved my problem of getting the mode selection button selections to show on the LCD when needed.

Use the Arrow Left & Right buttons on the remote to navigate to Speaker. 7. Press the Arrow Down button on the remote to select Manual Setup. 8. Press the Enter Button on the remote control to enter Power Amp Assign menu. 11. Speaker Manual Setup, Power Amp Assign menu will come up with Basic highlighted. 12. Press the Arrow Down button on the remote to select 7ch+1ZONE. 13. Press the Enter button on the remote to select 7ch+1ZONE. 14. Press the On Screen button to exit the on screen menu. To control Zone 2 using the RX-V773 remote, the switch at the upper left side (above the BD/DVD Scene button) of the remote must be set to Zone 2. To see the operations on the front of the Yamaha receiver you must press the Zone Control button on the front of the receiver. Note: Only analog signals can be sent to Zone 2. If you want to output the sound from Zone 2, connect an external component to USB Thumb drive, USB iPhone/iPod, Network, AV 5-6 or Audio 1-2 by analog connection. Press the # key and release both keys.
Display should say Enter Special KeyCombo
Press and release the button one by one in sequence the 1, 2 and 3 buttons.

then Press and release the OK button.
Display should say Hardware failurestatus. If not there already, ArrowKey over to Hardware failure status

Press and release the CANCEL button as many times as necessary, so that, eitherthe Welcome to Photosmart Express screen appears, or, the Ink System Failurescreen appears. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO PRINT AT THIS STAGE.

Using the Power Button, turn the unit OFF and unplug the power cable fromback of the printer and wall outlet.

Wait 30 seconds for the power to get discharged and then plug the power cableinto the wall outlet first and then into the back of the printerTurn the unit on. The printer may display message USEPOWER BUTTON TO SHUTDOWN THE PRINTER followed by PRESS OK TO CONTINUE. PressOK. The Printer will start the ONE TIME INK INITIALIZATION PROCESS. Allow thisprocess to complete and do not interrupt. Once the initialization process iscomplete, the printer will print out a Diagnostic Page.

press the MENU button to display the menu screen, and then press the UP and DOWN aero button to select the "OPTION" menu. press the ENTER button and then press the UP and DOWN aero button to select "LAMP RUNTIME". Press and hold the ENTER button for approximately 3 seconds.
The "LAMP RUNTIME" screen will be displayed.
(NOTE: press any button other then the POWER button to cancel the "LAMP RUNTIME" screen)
Press the POWER button to turn off the power.
The POWER button on the projector illuminates red.
This will reset the cumulative usage time for the lamp unit to "0"

If it didn't print a diagnostic page
Is the error message still being displayed on the printer?
No? Good.
Press Setup menu on the All-in-One then scroll using the arrow key and select Print Report then select Self Test Report.

Try this things first so that you can check if it is really the screen that's causing the problem,
While the computer is off, press D+POWER button and hold it for 5 secs, different colors should come up,
Make sure the computer turns on. You will know that if the power button lights up. Try to lug in an external monitor and see if display will come up,
If the display comes up, and the d+power did not display anything, might want to call technical support so you can get the screen replaced,

Press and release the right arrow button until the display says ?System Configuration Menu?. (on C8100 use Touch Screen 3. Press and release the ?OK? button. 4. Display should say ?Hardware failure status?. If not there already, Arrow Key over to ?Hardware failure status?, 5. Press and release the ?OK? button. 6. Display should say ?Hardware failure status: Clear. Press OK to clear?. 7. Press and release the ?OK? Button. Message changes to ?Hardware failure status Cleared. Press Cancel to continue?. 8. Press and release the ?CANCEL? button as many times as necessary, so that, either the ?Welcome to Photosmart Express? screen appears, or, the ?Ink System Failure? screen appears. If not, the printer will start the ?ONE TIME INK INITIALI-ZATION PROCESS?. Allow this process to complete and do not interrupt. Once the initialization process is complete, the printer will print out a Diagnostic Page. 13. To verify printer functionality print a SELF TEST PAGE. Give this a try.

1. Press the [Machine Status] button on the Control Panel. 'Machine Setup' will be displayed on the Display Screen.
2. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button until 'System Admin Tools' is selected, and then press the [Enter] button.
3. If the System Admin Tools has been passcode protected, 'Enter Passcode' will be displayed. Enter the passcode, and then press the [Enter] button. If the passcode is unknown, or has been forgotten, contact your System Administrator.
   
   If the System Admin Tools has not been passcode protected, 'Passcode Protect' will be displayed. Continue with step 4.
   
   NOTE: If the Enter button is pressed, 'Passcode Protect (No)' will be displayed. Press the Menu / Exit button to return to the previous screen, and then continue with step 4.
   
   
4. Press the [Left] or [Right] arrow button until [Clear Memory] is displayed, and then press the [Enter] button.
5. Press the [Left] or [Right] arrow button until [System Data] is displayed, and then press the [Enter] button. All data and settings will be cleared from memory.
6. Press the [Stop] button to return to the Standby mode.

When you do this you will have to go in and change the power save mode back to where ever you had it set.

Please follow the steps given below to perform a Self test:

1. Turn off the power by pressing the Power button once.

2. Press and hold both the Start button and the Power button.

3. Once the screen displays Mfg Menu enabled, release both buttons.

4. Press the Mode button three times. All the indicator lights will go out and the screen will display LCD button test.

5. Press the up arrow (Up arrow button) twice. The screen will display Single Test Page.

6. Press the Start button once. The self test will begin. The printer will stop once the page has printed in full.

7. Turn the printer off and then back on to disable the manufacturer menu (Mfg Menu).
