In that case your only option is to change the OS - any Linux OS will be free and support your device.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

The Learning Company Super Solver Mission T.H.I.N.K. was released in 1999 for Windows 3 and probably Windows 95/98. It could run under XP in the compatibility mode.

For a newer Windows OS, you need a workaround. You can use a a computer (virtual, dual-boot, or true second machine) with an older version of Windows installed. If you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can create a virtual XP computer for free. Download and install Virtual PC and XP mode from Microsoft. Install them in order. Then install the XP software in the virtual computer using the compatibility mode and it should work. (Other virtual computer programs are Parallels and VMWare.) All of the other options will require a licensed version of the older Windows OS. If your computer has a USB keyboard and mouse, you will need to use Win98 or newer OS. (However, the drivers may be an issue with Win98.)

For the compatibility mode, right click on the installer and choose Properties. In the compatibility tab, check the box for Run as compatible with an older version of Windows. Then launch the program.

I hope this helps.

HOW I INSTALL WIN98 IN MY THINKPAD COZ HAVE NOT CD ROOM

You can use an external usb cdrom drive that's the easiest method if you've got access to a drive, otherwise you might be able to use a usb flash drive BUT you'll have to check the bios or IBM's support page for your model to see whether or not USB booting is an option, usually in older laptops it's not but it depends.

Win98 does not recognize the Maxtor OneTouch III 500Gig.

First I will want you to know that support for win98 has long reached end of life. I don't think that win98 support mass storage unit of that capacity. I will suggest you opgrade your os to winXP

For usb

Try a generic USB mass storage device driver such as this one: http://www.technical-assistance.co.uk/kb/win98se-usb-mass-storage-drivers.php

Make sure you have the Second Edition of Windows 98 (Win98 SE). Pendrives will not work at all with the first edition of Windows 98 or with Windows 95.

Please see thw following for using usb drives, ipods, etc. in Windows 98.

You can try to find vendor-specific drivers for each and every pen drive you use, but this is the mass storage driver so it will be one driver for all of them just like Windows xp.

I solved the problem on my win98se OS by using the drivers from GPX from another mp3 player ( MW6347DT ). Before, it did not find the pci to usb drivers, etc. Now, all the proper drivers are being found.
The MW6347DT driver for win98 can be found here:
