Question about Lexmark X5470 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Error 1203 means that there is no cartridge attached to the printer head. However, there are some cases when this error message appears because the cartridge is not attached properly to the printer. If this happens, the printer will not be able to identify the presence of the cartridge and thus encounter an error.

The error indicates either a communication failure between the cartridges and the printer or by a short in one of the cartridges. Here's an article on Troubleshooting a 1203 Error Message on the Lexmark X5400 Series. Just click on this link: http://bit.ly/aDUAjM. Follow the instructions on the page. However, if the problem continues, I strongly suggest you contact Lexmark technical support for assistance. Thanks.
