Am I right in thinking that your Compaq Armada M700 has a 500 MHz Pentium III processor with 128mb of memory? If so I'm not really surprised that it takes a long time to load programs and freezes as this specification is massively outdated for modern applications and was originally shipped with Windows 98 Operating system. You could upgrade the memory to 256mb but I'd save your time and money and invest in a new laptop instead.

With Vista Windows Ultimate, in IE9 pages take TOO long to load, bounced up and down and freeze!

Sounds to me like a malware issue as more than one page seems to be loading at the same time. Try running Advanced System Care (by IOBIT). It is a free programme and will clean your registry and remove malware. Install their Smart Defrag as well as that is excellent at speeding up your system.

Picture freeze, long tme to restart does it again

Unless you have good / fast access to the Internet (or wireless or 4G network), it may take a long time to download a movie to your device. If the speed of download is slower than the speed of the play, the picture freezes ... essentially, it is waiting for the completion of the download for the next few frames (of the movie). That is why the picture freeze .... and it will start again after sufficient data has been download to continue / start playing (the movie) again.

My laptop will not start

If this is the first time that you turn on your laptop after resetting it to the factory settings then don't do anything while setup is starting services because you will just mess up the computer. It's really gonna take time to start the services. It's still in the set up process - it's loading some files on it.

I hope this helps!

I have a toshiba satellite p505d vista home premium sp2

This a 7 port usb2.0 USB hub. You can connect 7 usb devices at a time but that will reduce/freeze the system performance if used together.
Download speed can't be increased by this device anyway.

try starting your laptop by pressing F8 during the bootup process then select Safe mode option, then restore you os to some back date orDo one thing, install THE OS without formatting the drive, this also happens when the os got corrupted or some bad commands or program (virus) execute on the startup

Delay and freezing

Have you loaded any apps? You will need to remove them 1 by 1 until you find what is causing the memory leak. Remember to re-start your phone after each app you remove so you can pin point which is corrupt.Start with maps it tends to give problems if it didn't install correctly.

first you should go into safe mode and get a start up manager program and stop the programs from running at start up ,clean your computer with all in one cleaning software i have auslogics boost speed, upgrading your ram would help making it faster, get rid of the unwanted programs you dont need, get rid of the unwanted files you dont need and go to task manager and stop the unwanted processes from running thats just a few things you could try so it wont freeze up and it will be faster i clean my computer weekly so it doesnt slow down bc everytime you go on the internet it adds files to your computer that you dont need after your done. Freeze after boot up

hmm... given that it boots up fine into safe mode, i think there's a strong possibility that the problem is virus or spyware related.

i would see if you can run a virus scan with some good programs, check your startup processes to see if you find anything out of the ordinary, etc.

if you do find something or also think its a virus, reloading windows will always take care of that, and definitely speed up your system.

hope this helps

Computer turns on but freezes and doesnt load applications

Sounds like your computer is a old one, or is slow. The problem could be little RAM, which is what the computer calls speed and how fast it will open things, the CPU is too small, which is the main processing unit and causes slow speeds if it is not one of the latest CPUs or your Hard Drive is full and doesn't have enough free room to run anything well. Fist thing i want you to do is run a virus scanner to make sure you have n viruses causing the problem. if its all clear go into my computer, find the C Drive and right click on the icon and go into properties and check its free room. if its less than 250MB delete programs you don't use or don't need anymore. Now go into Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools and open Disk Defragmenter and Click on Defragment to begin the process. This will give you more free room and give it a small boost of speed in opening programs. This can take a very long time, talking hours so best to do it at night. A good way to boost your computers speed is to give it Virtual Memory, Which turns some of your hard drive into RAM. Right Click on My computer>Properties>Advanced and look for Performance and press 'Settings'>Advanced> and find Virtual memory and press change and click on the 'Custom size button' and Put '1024' into 'Initial size(MB) and put '2048' into 'Initial size(MB) and then click set then ok. It may ask you to reset your system. Do this. Now see if your application programs load faster. if not its a hardware problem and take it into a computer Technitian to get some more RAM in it to speed it up.

Hope This Helps
