Question about EuroTech Washing Machines

Open Question

Hello, I have an old Eurotech TL700 washing machine (top loading). After a move to a new house the machine is not working properly. It seems that during the water intake phase the water enters the drum as it should but then goes straight out the drain again. The drum, therefore, doesn't receive enough water to move to the next phase of the cycle. The pump seems to work well (it operates). What device stops the water from the drum flowing straight to the drain pipe? Does the pump push the impeller out and block the drain pipe? Any answers/help much appreciated!

SOURCE: Leak from maytag top load coin machine during spin drain cycle only

Possible that you would have a tub seal leak if it is only noticable during spin cycle. Possible that it "drips" slightly while in agitation, but not enough to notice it. While in spin mode you have a lot more parts moving as well as a lot more water pressure on the seal itself. Pump could also be leaking, but highly doubtful since it would leak a constant amount at all times. Good Luck!!! Jim

SOURCE: Washer continuously fills but drains at the same time during rinse cycle.

Fixum 1 is correct. I had this same problem and by trial and error found this to be the problem. I never thought that the syphoning effect could occur, but it does and can be costly if you aren't minitoring your washer (ie water usage).

probably better change the pump if you feel any up and down slack in the impellor. you may have an ingress of water through the seal.

It seems no bearing kit for this model. The drum bearing is hard to replace and seal it properly if you do not have special tool to do it.

I've just moved house and my machine is not

Hello Friend, I think your machine will work properly if you add a water line splitter. You would connect to the single cold water tap and on the other end you would have two water hoses . Connect one hose to the cold water inlet of your washer and then connect the other hose to the hot water inlet. You can get these at Home Depot. Happy to help, Tim.

Eurotech front loading washer, noisy on spin cycle with load.

Hi, could be one of at least two things - if the inner drum can be moved up and down by hand more than an inch when you grab it through the open door it could be the drum bearings that have failed - not good. Usually accompanied by a grinding noise and dirty specks on the clothes.
If the outer drum is really loose in the casing - check with machine unplugged and top removed - then one or more of the very strong springs at the top or the telescopic dampers at the bottom might have come off or broken from it's mounting.

Hope this helps!
If it doesn't, please hold off the rating button and add a comment with more details so I can try to help you further. Cheers, D

Same problem here and mines brand new. Seems the dryer consists of only a heating element. There's no circulation of dry air. You may as well hang your clothes inside a steam room.

TD700 malber front load

I'm not familiar with that particular brand, but it looks like a eurotech, and we sell those pulleys by the truckload. They are made of a similar material and break if you look at them funny. You may however, check that the inner tub does not move up and down if you reach inside the wash area and push up on the inner tub. If it does, you have bearing problems and are going to need some serious work, otherwise replace the pulley and it should be fine. Hope this helps!
