Downoaded i tunes now i cant burn cds

you might have to set the process up again
Burning CDs in iTunes is easy and requires no setup. But if you are an advanced user, you may want to tweak the settings a bit. Here's how you can set CD burning preferences in iTunes:

Open up iTunes on your computer. Click Edit and then select Preferences. Click the Advanced tab. Click the Burning tab within the Advanced tab. Set your preferred speed. From the drop-down menu, choose a burn speed for your CD burner. Choose a format. Audio CDs are for playing in your stereo or CD player. MP3 CDs can hold more songs, but need a special type of CD player to be read. Data CDs are for backing up songs, and can only be read by computers. Choose a gap between songs. By default, iTunes puts a gap of silence between each song. You can change this option from the drop-down menu. Use the Sound Check feature. This option will automatically adjust the volume on your songs so they will be the same volume on the CD. Include the CD text option. This will give the CD the title of the playlist to be displayed by a stereo or CD player that supports CD text. Click OK to save your preferences.

Cannot burn audio cd with iTunes

Maybe iTunes don't want your burning their music. I'm not sure cuz I don't use Itunes, but if it works on others that sounds like it might be the problem.

Here I found the below on Apple's site.

Symptoms Find out what to do if you can't burn an audio CD using iTunes for Windows. Sometimes an audio disc may not burn as expected. Here are some things to check.
Resolution Update iTunes Download and install the latest version of iTunes for Windows.
Songs not authorized iTunes will stop burning a disc if one or more of the songs in a playlist were purchased from the iTunes Store but are not authorized to play on this computer. This message appears:
"Some of the files can not be burned to an audio CD. Do you still want to burn the remainder of this playlist? For more information on why some files can not be burned, click below".

There's more so click the link below and see why you can't burn your cd.

I get static on the CD in the background on a burned CD; what did I do wrong?

Four things come to mind.
  1. Low Bitrate- the higher the bitrate the better quality sound. If ripping mp3's I prefer 320kbps
  2. Burn speed too high- for good quality it's best not to burn at maximum speed. Although most CD burners will burn at 48X - 54X speed, select a slower speed (24X works well).
  3. Scratchy or poor media- it's possible that there's was a scratch on your CD or that you got a bad CD. Bargain CD's usually work pretty well but you will always get a few bad 1's in a spindle that end up being coasters.
  4. CD burner not properly grounded or plugs not secure. This is less likely unless it's an aftermarket device but still a possibility if you've done maintenance on your machine and pulled on a ribbon cable or power supply.
Hope this answers your question and solves your problem. Best of luck!
