First of all you will need to erase your calculator by holding Home(house key)+enter+P and than the on button. Make sure the on button is the last button you press. Then, select option 2 to erase your operating system. Then, you need to obtain the operating system 2.0 for the calculator. Download and install that onto the calculator. It should install operating system 2.0. Once you do that, download and install operating system 2.1. This will allows you to upgrade your calculator to the latest version and get past the full bar loading screen. Let me know if you need anymore help.

The Nspire has to be off. You have to hold down the 3 keys (Home key(house), Enter key, P key) all at the same time while turning on the Nspire. Release all the keys. A screen will display, press the 2 key to erase the OS. Once erased, go tohttp://education.ti.com. Search bar @ top right of the screen - type in 27570 - enter. A page will open, click on the first item, "TI-Nspire Family Will Not Load...". A new page will open - top right side, click on TI-Nspire 1.7.2741.tno. Save to your desktop. Once saved, open the TI-Nspire Computer Link Program. Have the Nspire hooked up to your computer. Select the Nspire device, then top of page select Tools, select Install OS, @ top you will see "Look In" - drop down box - select desktop, click on TI-Nspire 1.7.2741. The OS will update. Once updated to version 1.7.2741, in the TI-Nspire Computer Link Program, click on Help, select update OS. It will now update you to version 2.1...don't know why this is not on the TI website!! Many thanks to TI-Book for his post - saved me!!!!

My TI NSPIRE CX CAS is stuck at the loading screen - it keeps loading and then going back and repeating (only when plugged in). I have tried resetting it whilst holding down EE, doc and enter. When I do...

For the TI-Nspire and TI-Nspire CAS handheld units with TouchPad and
the TI-Nspire CX and TI-Nspire CX CAS:

• Hold down [doc] [enter] [EE].
• While holding these keys press [on].

Please Note: For TI-Nspire Family handheld units that
contain rechargeable batteries you can alternatively hold the above
keys while pressing the [reset] button on the back of the handheld rather than
removing the battery for 2-5 seconds.

• The device will boot up as in the previous reset, but will display a menu
with the following options. Please try options 2, 3, and 4 in that order.
• 1: Cancel - The most non-intrusive reset option; no changes are made, the unit
restarts.
• 2: Delete Operating System - The operating system will be deleted
without deleting any documents on the system.
• 3: Delete Document Folder
Contents - This will delete the user's documents, but will not delete the OS.
Selecting this option is the same as using the RESET hole on the back of the
unit.
• 4: Complete Format - This will delete the OS and all documents for a
total wipe of the handheld.

Please note that the second and fourth option will require that the OS will need to be reinstalled.

I have a doubt, when I choose to completely format the calculator it will clear your operating system, files saved on it, but the product key (ID protuto) will be deleted too?32d3cd84-9b87-4f5d-abfe-aa04ca86df4c.jpg

When switched on, ti inspire calculator does not fully load for operation

What do you mean? Is the progress bar stuck at 60%?
Have you installed OS 3.0 recently?

There is a major bug in the 3.0 OS which does permanently brick TI-Nspire calculators on the 2nd booting of the new OS.

It has been reported for over a week all around the world - check here: http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?topic=7943.0

It's impossible to repair without a special external hardware. You've got to contact TI-Cares and ask for a replacement calculator.

TI has just removed OS 3.0 from its servers today. This should have been done much sooner...

I just got a Ti-Nspire graphing calculator. I recently tried updating the OS on it to the V2.1 but it keeps freezing on me when the loading bar reaches full and says "Loading Operating System". What is...

The same thing just happened to me with two TI-Nspire clickpad units after I had successfully installed the new OS on two other units. I have 30 units to go and do not want any more rendered useless. On a previous update I had to send one back to TI for a replacement when it had this problem. I have posted this problem on TI's support website and hope they will respond with a better solution. I will call 1-800-TICARES on Monday and speak to someone in technical support. I suggest you do the same.
