To answer your question;
What is most likely happening is that some components(capacitors) in the power supply/deflection circuit of your set are getting weak and will need to be replaced.
And it will take longer everyday to come on , until it finally quits.
I could tell you to look for bulged capacitors but this is good for recent lcd tv`s and only knowledge of the workings of the internal circuits and proper tools will solve that problem.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this will need to be repaired by a tech. no matter what some online expert may say about it.
