You didn't mention what model / year / engine you are having problems with, so this will be generalized somewhat.

Assuming that you are referring to the ignition module / magneto, you may able to find a used one from a small engine repair shop. The shop may also be able to order an aftermarket replacement as well. If the unit that you need is just absolutely not available, then you might have better results looking for an ignition upgrade (point / condenser to electronic, etc).

Igniter locks out

Ignition lock out will happen if the heater expects it to ignite, all things appear to be good, but ignition never happens. Check what the heater does not Know: is gas shut off valve open? Has the gas line been worked on - was the pipe opened up anywhere, like at the union? If so, then there is air in the line and air will not ignite. So, the gas line needs time to have the air purged or you can prime the gas line, but the best suggestion is to have a Professional do this!!!

It wont turn over....the battery, alternator, and starter are fine.....could it be the ignition?

Could be the ignition. First check around the dash and look for a light that says security. If you see this light anywhere, that will explain the starter not working. Check out this link for info pictures and solutions

1995 dodge ram 1500, battery is good, no power at all anywhere including the horn and headlights. could it be the ignition switch? thanks in advance!

It sounds more like a bad connection to the battery. Lose terminal, Broken cable are both posibilities. The head lights and horn should work regardless of the ignition being on or off. Check all your connections to your battery and you should find the problem.

Top burners work but the oven is not working. I assume this is not a pilot light but an electronic ignition. Is this a typical problem with this range?

Well not sure how long it has been in use,but igniters will go bad anywhere from 5-15 years depending on use and if the stove has been moved or dropped. The igniter is very fragile and when you look at it the crack that stops it from working is very small and many times is hard to find.Well hope this helps.
