Turn the printer on.
Then, open the cover to expose the cartridges.
Wait 10 seconds.
If you don't hear the motors spinning, to push/pull the cartridges to the correct position, something is very wrong.

Can't get WF-3520 cartridge holder box from far right position so I can remove & replace an ink cartridge

To force cartridge removal do the following
Shut down the printer (if it is powered on)
Now turn the printer on
When you see that the carriage starts to move instantly unplug the printer power cable
Now you can move the carriage freely by hand!
Move it in the cartridge change position and change the cartridge you want to change

Do it just if the printer has a defective cartridge and the carriage won't go to the cartridge change position :)
Hope you found it useful!

Press the cartridge change button, the carriage will move to a position where an arrow will point what cartridge needs to be changed, press the button again and it will move again pointing another cartridge or it will move to the change position. Open the latch and replace the cartridge.

How do i change the colour cartridge for a epson style c42+ printer - if i press the red LED button for 6 secs only the black cartridge comes into the open.! how do i get the colour cartridge into view ?

after the black cartridge moves to the ink changing position, push the 'ink' button one more time to move the carriage to the position to replace the colour cartridge. in some cases this will only work when the printer indicates that the color cartridge is empty.

Can't change color cartridge

Unplug the printer from power and manually move the head to position. Remove the tape and plug the power in again. With the access door closed, the head/cartridge assembly should return to 'park'.

NX400 printer - cartridge not positioned to change cartridge

The problem occurs when trying to change a low ink cartridge before you are prompted to do so. In that event, you must go to setup, maintenace, change cartridge and it will move the cartridge into position.Do not try to force the cartridge into position.

Change ink

Usually, with an inkjet printer to change the cartridges, open the cover and then press the power button - or the other button, if there is one. Don't be afraid to press buttons ..

The cartridge carrier will then move from its 'parked' position to a more central, accessible position. Unclip the cartridge retaining clip and simply lift the cartridge out. Virtually all inkjet printers work on this principle.

Don't try and manually force the cartridge carrier along from its parked position otherwise you will cause damage.

Remove ink cartridge

I found that the proper way to do it only worked when the ink light was flashing red. Then when I pressed the stop button it moved across and stopped beneath the marker to show which cartridge needed changing. The I pressed the stop button again and it moved to a place where I could change it.
This happened despite the fact that the pictures I was printing blatently showed that I needed to replace my ink, it wasn't until I had printed the liney pictures a few times that the printer decided the ink level was low enough to turn the flashing light on and let me change it.
