Mcdevito75 here, I believe those would have to be reset along with everything else, once the battery is changed all previous settings are lost.

Explicitly set Hourly Chime function, no sound occurs.

mcdevito75 here, I hope you have the exact manfactures recommended battery installed, if not get the exact battery needed. Contact Timex at 1-800-448-4639. If you installed the battery yourself double check your work, make sure all buttons are hitting the quartz mechanism inside the watch, remove the new battery and re-install, then go thru the entire setting sequence again, sometimes there"s a second battery to operate the alarm and chimes, this 2nd battery is under a cover just under the back cover of the watch, this cover is the speaker for the chiomes and alarm.

Make sure the spring is still in tact. I read that the spring sticking out is key to the sound components.

You will find an arrow head on the outside back of your watch where all the printing is. When you put this lid back on, this arrow needs to be aligned with a notch on the inside edge where the cover goes on. As you are looking at the watch from the back with the cover off this notch is in a northwesterly direction. If you doubt it then just hold the back on without popping it in all the way and hit your mode button to make sure that you hear the beeps again. If you do, then you've found the right spot...

Lost the beep on my timex watch alarm

Try taking the back off and orientating it the other way (i.e. turn top for bottom). You don't have to screw it down to see if this will work. As soon as the back clicks in you will be able to hear beeps as you press the buttons

My Luminox Alarm Chronograph seems to work in all respects but the alarm doesn't beep, nor do I get a beep when I set the alar. Might it be the battery??

It can be the battery if your watch model has separate battery for alarm function. If your watch originally is running on one battery, then check out if the sound transmitter spring is missing. Sound is transmitted through the coil spring or small peace of metal which is sticking upwards out of movement, so, when the case back is fitted to the case, the spring is touching sound membrane inside the case back, thus enabling transmit vibrations (sound). If there is nothing as I just described, you will need to get one and fit it to the movement. If there is such a spring, then movement has micro electric fault and should be fixed. In both cases you have to visit your nearest watchmaker and ask for help.

You probably lost SPRING COIL while changing battery. It connects movement to sound membrane. See watchmaker to sort this.
