Your cover motor is not operating. Either because of a defective board, or latch switch. I'm going to be very straight forward in telling you that these machines are rather delicate and warrant a service call by a professional. If you want to pursue working on this yourself let me know and I will try to guide you on how to proceed.

Only one thumbs up..? What do you want to know? Give me the exact model number and I will give you step by step teardown instructions on diagnostics and repair. You will not be happy with yourself ten minutes after you take out the drawer, but hey I'm all about the four thumbs up rating..
Reply with the model number and I'll get you started turning your $900 dishwasher into a pile of parts.

Bottom oven drawer stuck partially open. Cannot close or fully open. Model #316471000

Hello Dan, thank you for your post!

I understand that the bottom drawer of your Electrolux range will not close and it partially open. It is possible that your rail or drawer may be damaged or blocked. I would recommend pulling the drawer out to inspect it. If you pull the drawer out there should be tabs on the side to unlock in order to remove the drawer fully. The model number you have provided is invalid you can locate the model number on the serial tag. The serial tag can be found on the frame of the drawer. I look forward to assisting you. -Matt

My bottom freezer not closing properly

Pull both drawers completely out of their locations, clean off the slides that they each normally rest on. Clean off the surfaces beneath where they sit. Now, if they are both the same width and height, switch them and see if the problem is solved. If not, check the actual drawers to see if their sliding surfaces are cracked or covered with any kind of junk. You should be able to get everything to fit with these procedures.

The bottom freezer drawer is not closing so the freezer is getting an ice build up

It sounds like you either have a drawer that's off track, or something has fallen behind the drawer, not allowing the drawer to close. Empty the freezer, and pull the drawer all the way out. Look behind the basket of the drawer and see if some thing has fallen behind it. If nothing is behind the drawer, then the drawer must be off track. At this point, you'll need to pull the drawer out to the most extended point. Now push the drawer back in about 3-4 inches an **** it open fairly hard. Not hard enough to move the whole refrigerator. Just enough to put the drawer back on track. Hope this helps. : )

Th bottom drawer is very hard to push closed, it seems to be dragging against the piece that seperates the bottom and top drawers

The piece is the drawer seal for the bottom drawer. Your will have to get the bottom drawer out from the housing. The drawer seal is mounted on the inside top of the bottom housing.

Check if it broken or just out of alignment. It is a bit complex to fix as it involves some precision to align the actuator arms on each side which is driven by motors.

Call a technician if you are not comfortable with electrical parts.

We have the bottom drawer freezer, top french doors, 3 months old, freezer will not shut all the way and now after door open beep has gone off for an hour the whole unit has gone dark

Make sure nothing has fallen behind the freezer drawer or is hitting the top of the freezer to prevent it from closing. Also check that the tilt open front is in the closed position. If nothing is blocking the drawer the gear wheels that support it may not be in the right position. See Owners Manual for instructions about removing/reinstalling the drawer. When you get the drawer to close you may have to unplug the power cord for 30+ seconds to get the unit to reset and restart.

Freezer drawer closes on right but gaps on left side for Kenmore 73503 Stainless Steel Bottom Freezer Refrigerator, frosting contents. No contents blocking. Can manually hold left side closed, but wont...

I had this problem with my Kenmore bottom freezer drawer also. I found that the problem was I had too much weight at the very front of the drawer. Try reorganizing and moving items, especially heavier items away from the very front. Worked for me.

Unable to close the bottom oven drawer (Kenmore)

Pull the unit away from the wall and in most cases you can reach in the oven pan from then rear. If not.....pull the unit away from the wall and then lift the front about 3 inches away from the floor and let if drop....thus shifting the items in the drawer....If I can help further, I am here

Bottom drawer does not properly close

Okay, I fixed it for now. The design for this bottom freezer drawer is not good. What happened was most likely that my son slammed the door, and it bounced and was slightly open. Overnight, ice started to form all over the compartment, including inside the drawer guides. Some ice was probably obstructing the drawer glide from sliding shut.

What I did, not thinking this was the solution, was to prop chairs against the drawer to close it while I searched for answers on the Internet. In the meantime, some of this ice must have refrozen in the closed position (due to the weight of the chairs). When I went to check it later, I had a little trouble opening the drawer. I gave it a hard yank and some small frost flew off, as I opened the drawer.

It was not easy sliding it due to the frost. I then moved it out and in until it felt smooth, and finally closed the drawer and it stayed in the shut position.

Kids are instructed to close the drawer gently and visually check that it is sealed. There is also an air passage between the refrigerator unit and the freezer so that when you close the double french doors, some air pushed to the freezer section and momentarily pops the drawer open. You should make sure that the drawer closes before leaving the kitchen. If you are on vacation, prop chairs to make sure both the freezer drawer and the french doors stay closed. This is important if you're in an earthquake area as a small tremor could open the doors and you'll get a fire when the lights stay on and burn through the wiring (as others have noted).

Bottom drawer hard to close

Check the drawer slides on each side for cracks or a screw that has come loose. The drawer should slide in a groove on each side firmly. Hope this helps. JT
