Mcdevito75 here, I would use a same color tape as the cord to hide excess cord. Never bury excess cord under a rug or furniture.

Is there a fuse in this model

Hello Peter,

Generally speaking, Frigidaire air conditioners do not have fuses. Typically, they have a resettable protective switch on the power cord only. I hope this information helps to some degree.

Best regards!

Compressor will not stay on no matter the temp. setting. After running a couple of minutes the unit emits a scraping or buzzing noise and compressor goes off.

Sounds like you lost one of your fans if air is circulating in the room its the condenser fan. Thats what blows across the condenser coil to the outside. It may just be a capacitor thats what helps the fan get started but usually if the fan is popping capacitors there is something wrong with the fan but at the same time capacitors do just go bad. hope this helps let me know.

Unit releases xcessive amounts of water when

Part of an air conditioners job is to remove humidity from the air. The more humid it is, the moisture it will remove from the air. Some thru-the-wall/window air conditioners have fresh air vents. Ensure the fresh air vents are closed and make sure there is no air leakage around the unit & wall.
Keep your air filter and coils clean. If your unit has multiple blower speeds, use high speed during the more humid conditions.
I hope you find this information helpful moving forward. :-)

Amana model #AH123A35MA Air conditioner thur the wall

I may be wrong, but I'm going to step out on a limb by telling you that I think there is a recall on this power cord. Now don't hold me to it because it could be a different brand. So, with that said, I would contact the manufacture and double check plus on the website will be authorized service centers and they will be able to get the cord for you.
