Question about Microwave Ovens
Hi I have a Sanyo above range microwave model EM-S8000W that has a turntable that does not turn. It makes a lot of noise like the gears are grinding. The turntable turns freely in both direction by had. I would suspect stripped gears.
Would you know if this can be repaired and where I could get parts for this.
I have the exact microwave you do (ems8000w), the motor failed and I found this one worked perfectly as a replacement.
The original is impossible to find.
1 x 120v Microwave Turntable Motor 6RPM 4W # F63265G60AP (F63265G60AP) = $14.99

The turntable motor has failed. The part number was 6172222226 (or 617 222 2226) but unfortunately it is listed as no longer available.
Unless you can match it up visually with one from a local appliance parts store, it's best to disconnect and insulate the motor lead wires.
You can check eBay or Wal-Mart and other stores to see if they have a Rubbermaid or Nordic Ware (NordicWare) wind-up turntable like this "Micro-Go-Round". (I've seen them at Wal-Mart).
We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
