If you are determined to risk registry cleaning, you might try Wise Registry Cleaner, Glary's registry cleaner, or the registry cleaner in CCleaner or the commercial Advanced System Mechanic. You may use Revo Uninstaller to completely remove the programs you installed immediately before trouble emerged or resort to accessing the registry backup you created before cleaning. Sooner or later, registry cleaning seems to result in a "gotcha." You will be glad you had system restore points when that day happens. I try to leave registry junk alone, use portable apps to avoid installs affecting the registry, and make a restore point prior to every software installation.

How do you determine what is safe to clean? Well, Wise Registry Cleaner rather gives you a screen which suggests what is purportedly completely safe to remove by the screen colors indicating safe ones. If you have any doubts, don't remove the registry entry.

Not that the advice will keep you completely safe! Backup your critical data files to an external hard drive before engaging in too much registry tampering. As you chase performance, cleaning suites sound like a good option, right up to the point you crash, then you are chasing recovery options.

Use of Sandboxes and Virtual Drives avoid some garbage collection but that far more than you have requested to know about.

Adding ram sped up XP machines more than registry tweaks ever did.

Do you try clean registry? I recommend you use Registry Easy to repair it....

Everyone has always asked me how'd you get your computer to boot up so quick? well here it is...

After the initial or fresh install of windows xp and all programs your computer may start to slow down. May it be slow on boot up or slow loading a program, there is a small procedure to speed your computer up. You see windows installs a program and usually it is automatically setup to open or run when you turn on your computer they usually end up in the task bar beside the clock. Here is the method to turning all those unwanted programs off and prevent them from open on your future start ups.

-->click start
-->click Run...
-->type msconfig in the box
-->find the tab that says start up and click
-->uncheck all the boxes
-->click apply

and you're done!

Pc Maintenance(ten tips)

First download your Registry mechanic,full version and make sure you have an updated antivirus on your system.
Secondly, use the registry mechanic to carryout the full registry scan
When u are done,you repair the found files.
After repairing you click on continue then carry out the quick scan.
When u are through,you exit Registry mechanic.Pls be sure to use an antivirus like AVG,ESET NOD,Kaspersky Antivirus softwares and dont forget they must be up to date.
After exiting registry mechanic,go to the start menu,click on the run... button and type 'prefetch' then ok.
When the prefetch window opens,empty the prefetch.
Next,go to you recyle bin and empty it.Exit it and click on its properties to avoid every deleted file from going to the recycle bin.

1. From the reading of you issue it reads as if you have a virus of some kind.
2. Registry errors are hard to remove
3.Usually the hard drive has to be wiped clean an then the OS re- installed.
4. there are some free registry programs that will attempt to clean the registry such as C Cleaner.

Keeping your System Clean(what cuases most crashes)

Most crashs are caused by your system being bogged down.

Instead of me telling you what all the clutter your system holds, I'll just get to the bottom of it and tell you how to clean it up!

1.Disk clean up, please go to start>all programs>accessories>system tools>disk clean up
2.Go to start>run>type "prefetch" without the quotes and press ctrl+a to select all and delete all the files, then go empty your trash.
3.Now find a good registry cleaner or system cleaner, this is a good free one:
http://www.ccleaner.com/

Now I advise scanning your system for threats, I would go to www.grisoft.com download one of there trials any software trial you like and run a complete scan, and clean your system ones it's done.

Thanks for reading this short tip, and I hope it helps (:

Need to clean every thing thats making computer run slow

If your hard drive is too full, then your computer is going to perform slower. Delete old files which are not required.
Remove programs that you are no longer using. Delete temporary files.
Empty your recycle bin. Right click on Recycle Bin. Click Empty Recycle Bin>Yes.
Run an error check on your computer. The error check can remove errors that slow down your computer. If you are using Windows, you can do this by clicking Start>My Computer. Right click on your hard drive (typically c:) and then select Properties. Click the Tools tab>Check Now and then Start.
Defragment your computer. A fragmented computer runs less efficiently. By defragmenting your computer, your computer will operate in a more logical and faster way.
Clean up your registry. You can purchase software that will fix any registry errors on your computer.
Perform this computer maintenance on a weekly basis.
