Return to Sony. If it is a faulty CCD then they may fix it free, otherwise there is a fixed charge. Regards, Andrew

My Nikon d3100 only takes black photo's when the lens finder is working but the lcd is showing a black screen but still has icons so what is wrong?

sounds very much like a CCD unit failure. This will require another trip back for repairs and now that it is out of warranty it is going to cost plenty.

A85 camera LCD shows up with pink and black lines every time a picture is taken. LCD screen displays the camera icons on LCD screen but will not take anymore photo's. Lens used to view picture status...

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

Viewfinder and LCD screen only show black and record black

If camcorder shows old recorded tapes picture with correct colors in LCD but does not show live view in camera mode to record new movie then its ccd imager chip failure.
And if camcoder shows live view and old recorded tapes in its eye piece view finder but does not show any thing in LCD the its problem of broekn/ cracked flexible wire between lcd board and main board of camcorder.
Let me know your finding with bit detail to provide you solution/ helpful info.

Canon A630 screen black

Turns out my husband must have pressed a button by accident. The bottom left button says "disp" for display. Pressing that fixed the screen!

LCD Display Blank

I have a sony cybershot DSC-S650, the LCD was very dark and could not see anything except if I pointed it at a bright object, everything else worked ok. I could take pictures but could barely see them in playback as well.

I took it to Sony authorised repair outlet and was told the CCD was damaged, they charged me USD $55 to repair it (in Quito, Ecuador)

No image in the LCD, its black

Hey my27my,
What is most likely the cause of this is the LCD is turned off in the shooting mode. To fix this you need to turn it back on in the record menu. Directions on how to do this are on page 59 of your camera manual. I have included a link to a download of your camera manual in case you need it. I hope this helps!

Image blacked out on LCD and can not see image in view finder

Try connecting it to a computer and then turning on the camera. For some reason that fixed it for mine.

LCD is black

you can see images clearly? but no Menu items show is that what you mean? This would indicate a firmware malfunction. If you see nothing at all on the screen but only 'ghost' images then the back light has blown. Try first of all with the camera on tapping gently at the base of the casing in the region of the screen- this is where the connectors to the main board are. Contact The Minolta support team. If you are getting nowhere - I suggest the next camera - repairs are not usually an economic option if at all.
