Sony kv 32ts36_speaker sound is distorted

I think the speakers need changing. The sound becomes distorted when playing sound that has music or at a loud level, specially low bass sounds. Is this something I can do? I noticed there's a cover in the front of the speakers, is there a trick to removing it to access the speakers.

The speakers can only be accessed from the inside of the set. try using the sound Field button on the remote ( the one with the music symbol). change to effects off it may be in surround mode and causing the speaker to buzz.

My xsl102p5 over heat when i play high volumes. mostly the magnet becomes almost red hot en the coil starts to smell

how many watts are you pushing to them. are they distorting any. you may need to turn your levels down. if thats not the problem i hope you got a receipt. cause that smell is never a good sign. speakers can be very picky. probably nothing you did. always buy new speakers!!!!! it's worth the extra $$ for the exchange/return/upgrade option. blow your current speakers up. get the new version for FREE!! SPEAKERS WILL go out, but the music will never die!

I have logitech x220 speaker set up, but I am getting intermittent distortion. Which renders them useless for playing music, they even distort computer warning noises! I have changed from an integral sound...

actually the harddrive could also be the problem, because when you do have a problem with your HDD your computer tend to intermittently hangup or freezes that causes the distort effect on the sound system. Also you could try using your speaker on a different computer or plug it on an mp3 player so that you could eliminate the factor that your speaker has the problem and if not try using another HDD for your computer or worst case scenarion would be changing the motherboard of your computer.

Itunes music sounds distorted somtimes and not others

The fault is from your laptop speaker. I think it has a hole inside and maybe that's why it distorts. Or maybe the sound/volume is too loud and the speaker does not have the capacity.

I would advice you to get an external speaker for your laptop.

Take care.

My subwoofer sound is distorted

whatever player are you using must be having Equalizer in it...try adjusting that [keep that down to a minimum]. Check the program for your audio device...some programs have sound options like jazz, rock, pop these are predefined equalizer changing these could also help. Try using a different media player like VLC [it's free to download on the web] Try uninstalling the audio driver and then reinstalling the driver. It is quite possible that your speaker doesn't match with the Laptop's amplifier or the speaker is gone kaput [a coil problem or something needs repair...but do not repair rather buy a good speaker coz repairing loses the quality].

All the Songs on Media Player & Music I Download into the Media Player Get Distorted you Can Hear the Backround music & Some of the Chorus Fine but the Lyrics of the song are distorted if you can hear it...

It sounds like you have a problem with what is called "phase cancellation," which is something complicated that happens with audio when the left and right channels get out of sync and cancel out all of the common sound between the two channels. This can happen with bad speakers, a faulty output jack, or just failing to plug in the speakers all the way - it's also used (trivia!) constructively in the studio to create interesting effects on sounds.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phase_cancellation

I don't think that you are actually experiencing a problem with WMP, but with your speakers or possibly your sound card. Here's what to do:

First, while music is playing, check and make sure that the speakers are well connected. Double check where they plug into your computer and ensure that the jack is inserted all the way. If they appear fine, flex the speaker cable a bit near the adapter...if you hear the sound change in any way (not including clicks or pops, really), the problem is most likely a short in your cable. Replacing the cable or speakers if necessary will solve this. If this doesn't help either, turn the speakers off and unplug them.

If you have an iPod or Discman lying around, plug it into the speakers and turn it back on. With music playing does it sound better? If yes, probably your sound card is damaged. These can be replaced very inexpensively. If it still sounds just as bad, your speakers are probably broken. You can try a new cable if it is A) removable and B) you have a replacement or don't mind buying one. Otherwise the speakers will have to be replaced.
