Hi, I assume I have a tv card, as there is a arial socket at the rear of the computer.I asked the support team at acer for advice, they said all the instructions to set up were in the manual you download. As far as I can see, these instructions do not exist in their set up pages. Regards, Colin Copping

If you have a tuner card, there should be a Coaxial input sticking out of the computer, much like your cable jack in your home. If you do, you'll need to get the software for the card, which would be able to download tv listings, etc.

Open up Device Manager, then expand 'Sound, video, and game controllers'. My computer has "ATI TV Wonder TV Tuner". You'd probably see something similar, depending upon the brand. Let me know if you see anything like this. (If you don't see it under Sound, Video, and Game controllers, just look around.)

    That look familiar?

    Here's the drivers:

You should only need the first 2. I'd also download the manual.

Pioneer plasma model PDP-507XA. how can I tune a TV channel?

The PDP-507XA only has an analog tuner. You will need a set-top box (digital to analog converter) to receive over-the-air signals in most places. For analog cable, you need to set the source to TV. Press the Select button, if needed (it's above and to the left of the arrow keys), to put the remote in TV mode. There is also an Input button on the TV. If the Channel Up/Down keys do not work, you need to reset the TV Press the Home Menu button. Navigate to the Setup menu (Up/Down arrows followed by Enter) and select Auto Installation. Enter your password for the TV; the default password is given in the manual on page 41. It's available from Pioneer here: docs.pioneer.eu/Manuals/PDP_507XA_ARE1430_manual . Set the Language (use the Up/Down arrows followed by Enter. Then use the Left/Right arrows to change the setting). Then set the Country. Press Start to begin a scan for channels. Alternatively, select Analogue TV Setup and enter the password. Then identify the correct receiving system. Manually enter the channels in the Search area. Set Store to Yes to save channels.

I hope this helps.

I want to run a live TV threw my acer aspire Z5700 with directv how do I do it

Hello booche!
Directv provide free software so that you can stream live TV over your home network from your Directv Receiver to your computer. I think given the particular model of All-In-One you are using, this is perhaps the simplest and best option for you.
Here is a direct link to the Directv website page which gives detailed instructions: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/directv/technology/directv2pc
I hope this works for you!

I bought a Sanyo DP46849, lcd tv, 1080. and I'm getting a fuzzy picture. It helps when i put my cable receiver on hd channels, but even my blu-ray looks better on my 720 plasma???? any suggestions, I...

I gather from the information given that you are getting the proper signal from the cable receiver but there may be a settings issue with the LCD TV. If the 720 plasma is giving good performance then it has to be settings on the lcd .
I would review the instruction manual to see if you have over look something that is a proper cable select ( hdmi or vga).
If you have selected vga you will not get a clear picture in that mode. HDMI is High definition which works properly with 1080P mode. If you have further issue the manufacturer troubleshooting or Knowledge base will give answers also.
1. check your HDMI cables make sure they are properly seated in the input ports
squarely not at an angle.
2. If you are using a cable receiver check the connection there. Make sure you have the proper cable for your receiver to the TV
3.check channel to see if you TV is selected for channel 3 or 4 as recommend in the instruction manual
4. check the V-chip setup it may be blocking certain channels
5. check you picture modes each channel can have desire picture setup modes.
6. If you are using rca cables you may not get the proper picture as you would with HDMI cable that are specially designed for High Definition TV

With all receivers, depending upon the type cable going from the receiver to the TV, the TV is set either to a channel or an input setting (if using any cable other than a coax cable). I hope this helps.

Set top box installation

RF is the normal round coax cable in black.
Further you need to select your video channel on TV to watch the set top box RF signal. Usually you change the RF channel frequency also on these things. If you don't know channel number let TV scan it.

Read your instructions book again, when you press 7 that mean you are enter in select speakers you must use 7 then narrow UP DOWN and LEFT RIGHT when you finish you must save by press SET
The easy way to set it up is connect your receiver to TV then you can see the complete MENU on your TV screen
Or you initializer the unit to go back to the default mode, which will set to 5 speakers if you wish to do this look on same model I was post earlier how to initializer the receiver
