Question about Computers & Internet
This unit can also overheat and automatically shuts down when it does; to be thorough--simply unplug, empty the wastebasket, turn upside down, remove any remaining paper from blades, plug back in, and leave it alone for 30-60 minutes. Try again.
It's not an industrial shredder and has a low daily capacity, designed only for small office use.

This has happened to me, and it turned out to be a bit of paper in a sensor level/switch. Turn off the power & have a carefull look for a senser or lever under the actual shredder unit. Is the paper basket empty? If you can, take the shredder out & turn it over (power disconnected) and look for a jammed bit of paper.
