When powered up-TV continually changes...

Hi, The TV constantly changes channels when powered up.
No control with remote. I'm an experienced electronics tech.
but no experience with TV's.

Can anyone help?

Verify that you don't have a stuck channel up button on the panel. Next check the solder connections on the IR receiver (3 pins). Also check the +5 supply for excessive ripple. Any of these can cause odd behavior. Let me know how you make out.
