My canon powershot sd100is is

my canon powershot sd100is is really tricky when uploading pictures to my computer. I have even gone as far as un and reinstalling the software, but when I connect my camera nine times out of ten the camera screen goes black as it should and the computer sounds a tone as if it recognizes it but none of the picture programs will recognize that my camera is plugged in.

-   I have done the same things.. runinstall and reinstall several times. Every time i plug my camera in it beeps like it can detect the cord but says there is no connection to my camera found.-   loyolalax13
