Yahoo Email access problems

Hi all ,

As of December 2009......

If you have been unable to access your Yahoo email recently , even though your password and user ID are correct , and your screen and computer just freezes up , please try this very simple solution......

It seems that for people using a computer screen resolution of less than 1024 x 768 , the new all singing all dancing Yahoo Email goes haywire when you try to use it. But for some strange reason other Yahoo emails may display correctly without any problem using the same computer.

Solution: Change your computer screen resolution to at least 1024 x 768

How: right click on your desktop picture , scroll down to `properties` or `display properties` and left click it , then select the `settings` tab , or keep clicking the tabs until you see a slider bar showing the screen resolution. Drag the bar to at least 1024 x 768 , click on `apply` and then `ok` , and then try logging into your Yahoo Email again. This time it should work.

No sound icon, no sound at all

Look in device manager and make sure the sound card is installed and working correctly. Go into control panel, sound and audio devices, audio tab, make sure your device is listed in the default device drop down and selected, go to Valume tab and make sure the place volume icon in the start bar is checked. I hope this helps. Good luck and have a great day.

I have no voice at all, how wood i get my volum ajusted.

Hi!
1. If it is visible, single left click on the 'Show hidden icons' button, which is usually located near the bottom right hand corner of the screen. 2. Single left click on the 'Volume' icon, which looks like a gray speaker.
3. Single left click and hold down on the slider in the 'Volume' dialog box. As you are holding down on the left mouse button, drag the slider up to raise the volume or drag the slider down to lower the volume. When you let go of the left mouse button, you should hear a tone to give you an example of how loud the volume is now set. 4. Single left click on the on the blue 'Taskbar' to make the 'Volume' dialog box disappear.
Hope this helps. :)

I have a Compaq Presario 5420 computer and bought

You'll have to update your drivers for your video card by going to the Mfg. website and seeing if they have any later drivers than you're currently using. In my case, the 1440x900 monitor was recognized when I downloaded later updates, though upon initial installation it wasn't recognized. My card is an ATI from about 6 years ago.

First, we'll try setting the correct screen resolution. Go to an area of your desktop that has nothing on it and right-click with your mouse. Select the "settings" tab. See if your monitor is described properly in the drop-down box. If not, you may have to install drivers for it to get the proper resolution. Take a look at the slider and see if you can slide it to the proper native resolution for your monitor.

You can always try uninstalling the current driver. Go to control panel | system, click on the hardware tab, then click on the device manager button, expand "Display adapters" then delete your default display device. The best then then is to reboot Windows and let it find your display adapter. Possible that it will boot into the proper resolution, but if not, follow the above directions again, but this time don't delete the driver, instead right-click and select, "update driver." Let's see if that works for you.

Choose Screen Resolution For higher legibility of documents on screen, you can adjust the screen resolution of your monitor (for monitors that support more than one screen resolution option). The higher the number of pixels, the more information you can display on your screen and the smaller items appear. Lower screen resolution makes items appear larger and can benefit people with vision impairments. This procedure tells you how to adjust screen resolution through Display Properties in Control Panel.

Volume is not work

Double click on the little speaker icon down by the time on the taskbar (bottom right hand corner of screen usually). That will bring up the mixer, make sure Master isn't on mute, or turned all the way down with the on-screen volume bar.

What the *#^&** does "Out of Range" mean?

Hi Sapphire9, The monitor that gives the ?out of range? error is telling you that it cannot work at the resolution/color setting the computers video card is set for. What you need to do is set the computers video cards screen resolution to something generic like 1024 X 768 first (Start, settings control panel, click on the display icon, click on settings tab on box that appears, screen resolution slider bar is in the lower left corner) then switch the monitors. Let us know how it goes and please don?t forget to rate this post.
