Disc is playing but no sound or picture comes up

    No sound, no picture, but DVD counter shows that DVD is playing.

    DVD/VCR - 4400 GoVideo
    TV - Maxent Plasma

    Component cables (red, blue, green cable and red and white audio) from OUT (DVD) to Component 1 connection on back of TV.

Check the connection from the DVD to the TV.

Make sure that the TV is set to the same channel as the input connection.

EG. if the DVD is connected to the TV via the AV 1 connection, make sure the TV channel is also set to AV1.

If this doesn't help, let me know how you have connected the DVD to the TV. (Scart, RCA composite, S-Video)

When playing a disc on my computer I get the picture but no sound

Obviously first check that your computer is producing sound. Second check that if you play the disc in another device that there is sound on the disc. This will tell you if the problem is on your computer or on the recording.

No sound
1. Check if the TV and Amplifier (if connected) is turned on and set correctly.
2. Check if the TV, DVD player and Amplifier are connected properly.
3. Make sure the TV, DVD player and Amplifier volume are not set to Mute.
4. There will be no sound output during Reverse Play / Pause / Step / Slow / Search.
5. If the DTS soundtrack is enabled in the DVD Disc Menu, but you are using Stereo Analog audio, the sound will not work. Try switching the soundtrack to Dolby 5.1 or PCM mode in the Disc Menu.

Does not play disc
  1. No disc. - Load a disc into the tray.
  2. Disc has been loaded upside down. Place the disc with the label side up.
  3. Disc region code does not match region code of the player.
  4. Disc type is not the correct type to play.
  5. Disc is damaged or dirty. Clean the disc or try another.
  6. Moisture may be condensed inside the unit. Remove the disc and the leave the power on for one or two hours.

Can't play dvd's, the sound is eratic and the picture (if I get one) freezes.

Are these conditons on all DVD's or copies? Eye needs cleaned or replaced as it is dirty and not reading disc. Surprised a no disc code does not come up

what tv connection are you using from the dvd make sure connection are fully pushed in, try another dvd player with the same tv and connections.

Dvd not playing

thge lense is defetctive or dirty please try cleaning it usig one of the recommended cleaner disks that comes with liquide

No sound for *some* blu ray discs / can't get a menu

Some blu ray disc play fine. Others play the menu music, but when the feature starts, the sound disappears completely. And then others don't play music at all, no sound what do ever.
