ra config
Configure remote access parameters.
SYNTAX:
ra config [port = <number]>
[mode = <Permanent]>

I found the above command relating to port numbers in the reference manual for your access point. You can try this. If it does not work, below is a link to the Thomson website where you can view the pdf file for your access point's reference manual where you will find many other commands.

Verizon modem/router will not allow echolink.org

Did you log into the routher and allow TDP/UDP ports like the documentation says? You have to set up a map for those ports in the router programming.

I can no longer connect to Echolink

How to set up the ports for Echolink:
  1. Go to this page (link).
  2. Choose the correct router model (if you don't find it, use a model similar to yours. The setup for all Westell routers is almost the same.)
  3. skip the advertisement on the next page (upper right corner)
  4. choose "Echolink" from the list.
  5. Simply follow the instructions.
  6. Voila!
In general:
  1. Important!! (and most often the reason why it is not working): Make sure that yourWindows Firewall is not blocking the application (see Control Panel-> Windows Firewall -> Exceptions) (details also here).
  2. You have to allow UDP destination ports 5198-5199 between Internet andPC in both directions and allow TCP (source port any, destination port5200) from PC to Internet.

If you have any more questions, just come back and leave a comment - I am happy to help.

Thanks for rating!

How to set UDP & TCP port for Echolink

First I assume that you simply posted this under "Linksys > WRT" by mistake and you are using a D-Link router.
How to set up the ports for Echolink:
  1. Go to this page (link).
  2. Choose the correct router model (almost at the end of the page)
  3. skip the advertisement on the next page (upper right corner)
  4. choose "Echolink" from the list.
  5. Simply follow the instructions.
  6. Voila!
In general: Make sure that your Windows Firewall is not blocking the application (see Control Panel -> Windows Firewall -> Exceptions) (details also here). Router Password

try admin and admin again for password. If that is not it try leaving the password box blank. Good luck Are you sure you did not change the password when you set it up the first time. If you did you have no other option than reset.

Accessing echolink nodes

Please go to the following website and check the port numbers that you have forwarded. Some wireless routers do have issues forwarding ports. http://www.t1shopper.com/tools/port-scanner/ Also, before you use this tool, make sure ICMP is not blocked in the router's settings; if it is blocked all ports would show blocked. Try this and let me know the results. Cheers
