Question about PC Desktops

1 Answer

Have just reformated p.c but after loading motherboard drivers I still have no sound.Running winxp. My motherboard is K7N2 fsb400.The reason I formated was because of a software problem. The p.c would not roboot. After talking to a friend he suggested I take the battery out and then replace it.This did not solve problem. My friend now thinks that the reason my audio driver has not installed maybe because the audio settings are set to off after taking battery out.Any ideas? Cheers Edd

You should be able to obtain the driver on Intel's website. It would be for the 845 chipset.

Here is a link to the Windows Xp audio drivers to try for your motherboard/audio:

http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/258452/powerspec-v201-realtek-audio-sound-driver-5.10.0.5288-windows-xp-free-download.html

You need to click the link on this webpage near bottom to go to download. Let me know if this does the trick. It definitely sounds like an XP issue.
