I have found an answer in relation to the magnet in the water resevoir, however this is not my problem. Yes the water light does not reset, however if I run the steam for a while it does eventually reset. Once this has reset I can press the button for a shot of coffe and the unit grinds and packs the coffee, however when it then tries to brew the machine sounds like it is tryign really hard to push water through the pipes but just can't. Eventually it just gives up and the water light then comes back on. The cofee grounds then get dumped and are wet, however they are very loose and not the normal "puck" that usually gets dumped out. Any ideas on what may be the problem??. To me it seems that there may be a blockage in the water lines, however the fact the the coffee grounds are wet does not support this theory.

Re: Saeco Incanto - Water Light will not reset
Actually it sounds like a blocked filter from the brew group.
Take out the brewgroup and iether with your key (sometimes not in the box) or with an allan head remove the filter.
Check the filter by holding it against the light for obstructions.
Clean with needle
I guess this might well be your problem
And if you use hot water by the way instead of steam the water light will go out faster.
If your warm water works you have no problem with your boiler

the water tank has a float inside, the float has a magnet. the machine senses the position of the magnet and indicates water ok/not. sometimes the magnet rusts inside the plastic casing, renders it less magnetic so it wont work. or the float is missing- fell out while you were cleaning the tank. you will need a new magnetic float to fix the problem.
Your machine has a magnet that floats in the water tank. If the magnet is not floating when you have water in the tank then you need to replace the magnet. You can also try to clean the magnet before replacing. It may be dirty and tends to stick to the water tank.

Subject: How to drain boiler of Saeco Incanto Deluxe
I got an answer from Saeco Customer Service as follows:
All you need to do is have the machine turned on and up to temperature. Make sure that you have a full tank of water as well. Make sure the machine is set for hot water, then turn the knob on the side of the machine to start water flow. Once the water is flowing out, remove the water tank and, leaving the knob turned open so that the water that's in the system drains out. Once water stops coming out, close the knob and shut the machine off. The water is now drained from the system.

Hi If you are talking about the descale light you must let the machine quit on its own. The lights will change. Then do the rinse by replacing the water in the tank and closing and then reopening the steam knob and again letting the machine quit on its own. Again the lights will change. Then repeat the last cycle until all the red lights go away and you only have a green blinking light. Stopping it when it is out of water will only let it continue on with the descale cycle. The pump must quit on its own.
I have the same problem. It seems that the group motor issues. I ve opened up and found the group motor is coming some sparks. I know very well Saeco Magic Cappucino , Saeco range is more or less the same, Saeco incanto, first time deal with it , somebody just brought it to me to check it. I might fix it if find parts for it.
