What exactly cant you get into? does it boot? is it asking for a windows password or a boot password?
If its asking for a windows password just reinstall teh OS from teh factory restore cd's. if you dont have the restore cd's contact the manufacturer and provide the serial for the laptop they may charge but its worth it.
if it is asking for a boot password you need to find a repair technician to reset the BIOS which can involve taking the thing completely apart and finding the BIOS battery and removing it for a while.

I get a blue screen and cant log on reboots

I'm not an expert but I have had plenty of experiance with computer problems. When my Gateway had the same problem I took it to the Geek Squad (Best Buy). They called it the blue screen of death L.O.L! They said that it means the hard drive blew. I had a warrenty, but if I wouldn't have I was qouted a price of $159.99 to put in the new drive, plus extra charges to reprogram it if I didn't already have a back-up disc. I hope I'm wrong. Goodluck!

go to a laptop retail shop to get one, or a repair shop to get it replaced, if you cant do it yourself.

Fitted engine with 25k on it but the clock shows the mileage from the old engine how do i reset

you cant, all you can do is save copy of receipt with the mileage, this mileage isnt only for the engine but for the whole car, suspension, trany, drivetrain, ect, the mileage is programed into the computers memory.even if you some how replaced it the ture mileage can be retreived, lets say you got a used one that cluster needs to be reprogramed to your car, with the vin and mileage,as stated by computer, hope this helps.

My screen wont light up so cant see anything

There's not really a "click and fix" for this one. It appears the LCD has gone bad or the backlight has burnt out. If you like DIY projects you need to replace the LCD or the backlight, which can very tricky.

I would reccommend going to a local computer repair shop to get it fixed. Do not use a "big box" retail store they think everything is a virus, don't fix the problem, charge an arm an leg for doing nothing.

It may be better to buy a whole new computer, since this usually costs over $100 or more. Good luck with your screen.

I cant get it to open up/work

The drop probably jarred quite a few things in the comp The spring may have fell of the door latch, capacitors, memory chips, bios chips may have gotten loose as well. Possibly power supply has broke if it is not getting any power to unit. You could always just buy a new motherboard since you have all the other parts you need for it.. Cheaper than buying another whole unit.
