- Casio Exilim Z 700 Digital camera.The lens projects when it is switched on, then nothing happens.
There's nothing on the screen and the off button doesn't work.
I thought the battery might have gone flat but there is no change after charging.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as I go on holiday in 10 days.

If your lens comes out and retracs during power on or off then the spring that closes the lens is either broken or off trac. If you are out of warranty and able to open the case then it should be an easy fix. If not then you would have to get it repaired.
